The aim of this site is to collect in one place information, and especially CAD drawings, of ALL venues in New Zealand capable of hosting a live performance or exhibition.

The site is owned and administered by THE VENUEWEB TRUST, a non-profit trust whose sole aim is the collation and presentation of the above information.

Contributions from anyone with Venue plans and information are welcomed.

We will also come to your venue if needed to collect the relevant information - see contributing.

Plans are presented in:

  • A simple bitmap format you may view instantly in your browser
  • PDF format, which you may view online, download to your computer, and print in scale.
  • CAD format - release 12 DWG or DXF, which you may download and use in your CAD program, or in the free drawing viewer.

Most drawings are from a combination of actual site measurements and any existing paper plans. Some have been modified from existing CAD files made available by the venues or venue architects.
Increasingly newer plans are from existing CAD files and / or actual site measurements with a laser measure.

Each file has a revision date by it - check for the latest version, as files will be updated as new information comes to hand.

Information included on the site is correct to our knowledge at the date specified. Read the specific notes about the drawings of each venue for details. Please feel free to send notes, corrections and/or more information about any venue you have knowledge of: venues@venueweb.co.nz

The appearance of a venue on this site does not necessarily imply any support or involvement from any actual or current venue management.

Browser Notes

This site is is optimised for Microsoft IE 5 or above with javascript enabled. It can however be viewed in earlier browsers, although if you are one of the six people still using Netscape 4.08 for some perverse reason and things come unstuck, don't call us, just get a better browser. After all, they are free.

  • The site is better viewed at 800 x 600 resolution or higher, but can be viewed comfortably at 640 x 480 resolution. - Internet Explorer 4 and above users might like to press F11 to toggle full screen mode.
  • The text size for this site is controlled by the underlying code. If you want to change it, (in IE 5 and above) click Tools/Internet Options/Accessibility. Put a check next to "Ignore font sizes specified on web pages" and OK out of the dialog boxes. Text size is now controlled by View/text size. Setting the text option like this may cause the site to become visually unstable, plus it will affect all other sites you view.
  • Rather than using the mouse, try the Home key to go to the top of a page, end to go to the end. Scroll with the up & down arrow keys.
  • Alt + left arrow = back, and Alt + right arrow = forward.
