The Tabard Theatre is a theatre complex owned and operated by the Napier
Operatic Society. The theatre can operate as a theatre restaurant seating about 125, or as a standard proscenium theatre, seating about 200. Although the stage under the fly tower is raised, there is no actual permanent proscenium, and the auditorium itself has a flat floor with a full lighting grid suspended over it, so the space can be very flexible. Opening off stage left via large folding doors is a rehearsal area which can itself be used as a studio theatre, with a pipe lighting grid over. The complex has a full restaurant kitchen, a public bar and large scenery workshops.
