The TSB Showplace (Devon St West Frontage)

The TSB Showplace houses two theatres, a gallery and several bars for theatre patrons.

The first and largest theatre is the former New Plymouth Opera house,
A new building has been constructed stage right of the original theatre and it interconnects into it at various points.
The new building houses ticketing, foyer and gallery space, and underground the new Theatre Royal

Former Theatre Royal

Named for the former Theatre Royal that stood on the same site and was destroyed by fire in 1916, the Theatre Royal is a completely separate space with its own foyer and Bar, although sharing the public glass lift from street level. Seating about 400, this is a more flexible space intended for not only theatre but also Cabaret, Fashion shows etc..
