Victoria Square, Christchurch.

vsq-01.jpg

market_sq.jpgVictoria Square was once the commercial heart of Christchurch, known then as Market Square.

The Square features statues of Queen Victoria (1903) and of Captain Cook (1932) and the floral clock. It is the site of the oldest of the city’s iron bridges, and also still there is a stone ramp leading down to the river, once used for watering horses.

pcp_chch.jpgIt is a part of many of the city's outdoor functions and events, and was the site of Pacific Crystal Palace for the 2001 Christchurch Festival

Clicking on the above icon will open a two colour gif plan of the venue. The gif plan is optimised to print on landscape A4 paper direct from the browser (set all margins to zero in print options)
Use this option for a quick preview of the venue plan, or if you have no CAD software. It shows a basic plan of the venue, but will lack detail, is missing text, and information on layers that are not shown - check with the CAD screen shot icon at right to compare this drawing with the info available in the actual CAD file.
Once printed, you might want to check the scale, and mess about with a photocopier to get the drawing into some kind of usable size.
